Thank You, Darling

I'm growing to not like my elbows. I haven't been consciously aware of what they looked like since I was ten years old. Recently, however, I've noticed them in my pictures, and for reasons unknown to me I am displeased with their appearance. Nonetheless, I will not be covering them up with long sleeves. It's far too hot hear on the outskirts of Los Angeles to be wearing anything to my wrists.

This skirt was given to me by friend Ericka. I love her to death for it. I have only had it for one week, and have styled it a multitude of ways. Thank you Ericka! I hope you clean out your closet again soon.

Mommy's Clothes

The MOM! shorts. I love these things, and am planning on stocking up for summer. I believe these ones are actually a children's pair. At the goodwill, I was browsing through the shorts section and found these. They looked about my size and fit perfect when I put them on, so I was ecstatic. But I noticed that the tag said they were a size 14! In women's I typically wear a 0 or 2, so it is impossible for these to be that size. I must say, thought, it does make me happy that I can still fit into the same size i wore when I was 11. At the same time, it's unfortunate that I haven't grown. Regardless of the pros and cons, it makes for a great summer essential.

When Life Hands You Lemons...

Would you believe me if I told you that I bought this dress for a mere 5$??? I'm always searching for pretty sundresses for summer, but i rarely find any worth buying, and when I do they are normally out of my price range. So I was thrilled about the steal I got on this. By the way, notice the child in the background? That's my cousin Joseph. In between shots, he was throwing lemons at my wall, and I joined in with him. Ohhhh, cousins!

Falsified Tats

People love to compliment me on my tattooed legs whenever I wear these tights. (Those people don't realize that they are only tights, not tats.) There are days when I let people go on believing that I have extraordinary tattoos on my legs, but more often than not I just laugh and they don't know why. Regardless, these are one of my favorite pieces out of my ocean of a wardrobe. I don't think I was ever more pleased with an accessory purchase (except the tranny shoes) than I was when I bought these.

The "Power Dress"

Today, because of my outfit choice, I was told that I looked like a singer and that I had my "power dress" on. Both compliments made me feel very confident, and make me wish I could wear the outfit piece for piece tomorrow. But I'm eager to photograph and style my "mom" shorts, so hopefully that is what I will dig out of the rubbish of my closet tomorrow. (I call it rubbish because it has slowly crept its way out of the closet and all over my floor *sigh*).

My apologies that the third picture is such poor quality. My friend's hand was shaking as he snapped the picture, and it came out awkward. But still a decent enough shot.

Boxy and Black

Today's ensemble is one of my utmost favorites! I love over sized anything. Typically, I would need an extra small for a cardigan to fit me properly. But this particular one is an XL. It engulfs me in all entirety, and nothing could be more comfortable. Also, this is the first way I styled my tranny shoes the day I bought them. Now I finally got to wear the outfit!

Oh! What do you think of the jet black hair? Did that just recently.

It's a Ramones type of day.

Here is an old outfit of mine that is super comfy. Walking around in a men's shirt all day? Absolutely! It's quite possible that I fell asleep in that shirt and wore it when I woke up. But this picture is from a while ago now, so I don't recall exactly why I wore it that day. Regardless, it made for a cool look with my now infamous tranny shoes. Oh, and you got to love the Ramones yellow shirt. How many yellow Ramones shirts have you seen floating around? Personally, not many. So I am quite proud of this cheaply made thing just for the sake of its yellow-ness.

The fading of the ballerina.

So this is me playing dress up with my shoes. I have worn this outfit on several occasions, but with the long lived combat boots, not the transvestite shoes. I love this skirt, and I fear that I am going to bring it to its grave shortly. I have reworn the poor thing so many times. I am obsessed with it. So much so, that in my very first blog entry I spoke of my love for tu-tus. Well, here is my tu-tu skirt. Hopefully I'll get more outfit pictures of it before I bid it farewell.

I shouldn't be here today.

Today I am supposed to be at the beach with a bunch of friends, but I'm not. I'm here. Blogging. My friend Anthony graciously said he would give me a wake up call to make sure I was up in time for them to pick me up. Well, along with two other friends, he did just that. But my lazy ass was so knocked out, I never heard the phone ring any of the half dozen times they called. So, instead of having fun at the beach today, here is an outfit I wore two days ago.

Nice shoes

Today in recognition of all the people who do not have the luxury of shoes, I go barefoot along with I assume hundreds of thousands of other people. I've got to be honest though, I have been looking for an excuse to go barefoot again for some time though. Normally I will just do it, and not care about the result it brings in other people, but no one wants to be crazy all the time. So today when people ask, at least they will think I am a decent human being.

The Weather's Always Wrong

Forecast said there was going to be rain today and not a drop. The clouds have started rolling in, but still dry skies. I'm hopeful for a dusting tonight, but if not I won't be surprised. Oh this damn California climate. I truly will never understand why it's known to be the greatest weather in the nation. It's dry and the hills catch on fire every summer. I miss the rain storms we had earlier this year. I was one of those crazy people running around barefoot in shorts while it down poured (and sometimes hailed). Nonetheless, today is a very relaxing day and I hope to catch up on reading. After all, it's the last day of national reading month!!

Today I decided to feature a close up of my Zoo necklace. My boyfriend and I made it at the Santa Barbara Zoo for 5 dollars. It was his gift to me. And I thank him for it endlessly! I wear this everyday, even if it is completely inappropriate to.

7:30 AM Smoke

Today I was going bonkers. I was very fidgety and on edge. I smoke (never start; I'm always trying to quit), and I didn't have a cigarette before going into school. Knowing I wouldn't be able to have one all day, and already having a craving at 7:30 AM made my day lag terribly. I couldn't focus, and misspelled the word "smokey." Although, funny story about the end of the school day when I finally had my cigarette: The principal has a golf cart he rides around the perimeter of the school in. He sees myself and my good friend walking home and smoking. After a second glance our way, he turns his cart around and pulls up to us inquiring if we are of legal smoking age. Why yes sir we are! He thanks us for not smoking on campus, and my friend says that we are tempted, but then says he's joking. My intolerable knack for honesty pushes me to shout out "No you're not!" loud enough for the principal to hear. I wonder what tomorrow will bring?

Moral of the story: Terrible, terrible habit. Never start smoking. Plus, it makes your clothes smell that way if you don't wash them enough. *Sigh*

This outfit I didn't wear today, which might be good because a dress and edginess probably wouldn't be good. But I wore it a few days ago and have yet to document the photos. This is my current favorite dress. I have had it a short time and am wearing it to its grave. It's bright and colorful. I get to feel so girly in it, even though I am not girly by nature. It's a great change of feelings.

Lazy Sundays

It's Sunday and I need to be comfortable. Nothing much is happening today; just some reading, movie watching, and blogging. Maybe some cooking too, but that's a stretch. I love this outfit for lounging. It's perfect in case someone decides to swing by my house, because I still look decent enough in case they persuade me to go out. And if no one does, I can still lay around plenty comfy.

I'm so disappointed that the tag on my shirt is sticking out. But this was the only decent rear-view picture I took. So bear with me on it people.
